13. stage at 05/02/2012 from Taunton to Bow, (day: 43.4miles / overall.: 746.8miles)

This morning it was still very cloudy but already quite warm. The forecast said no rain. So I could hope for the best. Today was the shortest stage. It would be a blessing for most, if this stage would have been earlier. It gives the opportunity to relax more, regenerate, fill up, recover and maybe do some sight seeing.

On our route to Bow we had plenty of turns which should not be missed. Some roads are four lane roads. They looked more like a highways. In comparison to them we also had small, narrow, curvy roads. They where also quite dangerous. The landscape got hillier again and we had many beautiful views. Also the weather got better and better. Nice warm, blue sky and almost no clouds. Also Rory and Jen had a short day. There were only three stops for aid stations to do. Then we met at the finish line.

Arrived at Bow I first had some snacks. Then we went to find a pub. Finally the third pub was open. It had a huge amount of beers and sides. After we had “enough” we went back to the bus. Then Ann fixed the dinner.
