08. day at 08/08/2015 from Boxmeer to Cuijk to Boxmeer, (day: 48km)
Also today we could have a long sleep. It was the last day and it also started next to the house. The first part of the course was similar to yesterday’s course. It was obvious that it was Saturday because many day runners were at the start line. Jan and I started together. After about eight kilometres Jan recognized that the course did not fit. He ran most of the tours before, so he knew the routes. We waited on that spot until all other runners had passed and guided them to the correct course. After, we roll up the field from behind. Even Willem broadcasted the first aid station after thirteen kilometres it was already placed after ten kilometres. When we had passed the “daily” deep grass part Jan slowed down. It was to slow for me, so I started to run faster. At the second aid station I saw the leading group. But it took until the next aid station until I finally passed them. Then we only had 21km and two more aid stations left. Willem and Annemarie waited for me at the finish line. Before I took a shower I had some drink.
