When we got up in the morning we had the first surprise. The staff of the hotel had locked the gym. I gave Wendelin a call and he came over with the key master. The second surprise was waiting for us at the breakfast. There are muffins, croissants, juice and water. A perfect runners breakfast which is sufficient to bring you through a 70km long day. After Wendelin complained and pushed the people they brought some toast, butter, marmalade and coffee. Wendelin checking and pushing to start in time. There where some day runners and some more teams for today. One of the teams was colleagues of Frankie, which accompanied them on his bike. With a slight delay we started on the last stage. As well today, Wendelin guided for the first kilometers. Still the group split quiet fast. I was surprised that Andrea was running quiet well. After his speed up in the end he was humbling around. Still he could not keep up with Wendelin, Omar and me. After 20km, just before the boarder to the Oman, we made a turn to the right and left the beach promenade. Now the course kept us slowly uphill. That was also the point, where Wendelin slowed down. I kept going, but did not push. Since Andrea had some hours less in the final ranking than me, it did not make sense at all. Just after half way Bernd caught me and asked me to slow down. They still had to build up the time measuring line. Just a few kilometers after I had it. Just after the team of Christoph passed me. Not long after that, I passed them again. Besides, there was no runner around at all. Wendelin passed me just before the finish with his trailer. That was the reasons why the finish was only partly set up when I arrived there. After me there team of Christoph and then Omar arrived. Andrea was long behind him. Todays finish line was again at a hotel resort, but we had to sleep in tents. Due to the huge amount of daily teams and daily runners it took a long time again till everyone finished. After, we ran another loop together. It was leading out of the resort, around the traffic circle in front of the resort and back. After we had the award ceremony for the day and the overall results. Then, we finally can set up the tents and continue to dinner. Showers we only can have after dinner. And nothing about that, it was again very delicious. Not far away from the tents in a small BBQ area it was grilled just for us.
