Schwanberg race 10,4 km from Iphofen to Castell, Germany

Since 22 years the Schwanberglauf is on Friday evening. Since two years the regional hospital and the TG Kitzingen are organising the race. Since the last year time measuring is done by a chip system. Because of the huge number of runners now there are three blocks. But as it is at the big city marathons nobody was taking care about that. Another highlight was that the course was measured correctly and every kilometre was signed. There was no changing at the tree water stations.

While the weather during the week was signed by sun and heat, today it was different. Already at the afternoon it was windy and there were many clouds at the sky. Everyone who is familiar with the area, knows, that there are very hard thunder-storms at the Schwanberg. Half an hour later there was the first rain. But at 6:30 pm at the start it was dry. Even during the race it was dry. But after the race it starts to rain very heavily. So everyone tries finding a place at the hall.

There was one more revival at the results. The Winner was not from the area. A small group of runners, which was doing their holidays at this area, took part at the race.
